At Madden Bros we NEVER MAKE ANY OF OUR MULCHES USING SCRAP WOOD
- we don’t use construction and demolition debris
- we don’t pull 2x4s out of old houses
- we also don’t use dimensional or chemically treated lumber to make our colored mulches (or ANY of our mulches for that matter).
- Because we never use junk, scrap wood to make our mulches this also means they’re free of screws, nails, shrink wrap plastic, cigarette butts, glass shards, aluminum cans, and dangerous chemicals and contaminants.
- All our mulches are made by us, right here on the premises in small batches. We don’t ship it in from far away places and hope for the best. We hand select the wood we buy, we grind it ourselves, we screen it ourselves and we color it ourselves. We control exactly what goes into our grinders and our quality is unbeatable.
- We use only natural hardwoods to make our mulches bought direct from the Amish. The wood is untreated timber taken straight from the forest meaning its chemical and contaminant free. We then transport it back to Madden Bros HQ where we put it through our tub grinder cutting it twice to ensure each piece of wood is finely cut into small uniform and natural looking pieces.
- For our color enhanced mulches, our pigments are rich and long lasting (containing powerful anti-fading agents and UV ray inhibitors),that are safe for children, pets and plants. We do NOT use colorants that contain heavy metals or VOCs!
